He graduated from Soka University with a BA in Sociology, and then received his MA in International Relations and Ph.D. in International Studies, both at Waseda University.<\/p><p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Dr. Takahashi\u2019s work has covered the history of communist movements both in Thailand and throughout Asia and the history of relations between Japan and Southeast Asia.
